Ingredients
– ¾ cup all-purpose flour
– ½ teaspoon salt
– ½ cup unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder
– ¾ cup unsalted butter
– 3 tablespoons oil
– 1½ cups granulated sugar (divided)
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
– ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 14 chopped Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the oil and 1¼ cups of sugar until combined.
- Add the vanilla extract, eggs, and egg yolk. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing to maintain fudginess.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Oreos. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
– To enhance flavor, add mix-ins like white chocolate chips or nuts.
– For dietary restrictions, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour and use dairy-free chocolate.
– Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for five days. Freeze for longer storage by wrapping tightly in plastic wrap.
