Description

Old School Pizza Burgers are a retro fusion of pizza and burgers, featuring juicy beef patties, marinara sauce, gooey mozzarella cheese, and classic toppings like pepperoni or mushrooms. Perfect for family dinners, game nights, or themed parties, these nostalgic burgers are easy to make, customizable, and full of bold, comforting flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 11.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 812 slices pepperoni
  • Optional toppings: mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, fresh basil, parsley

Instructions

  1. Season ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Shape into equal patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden-brown and cooked through.
  3. Toast burger buns lightly.
  4. Spread marinara sauce on bottom buns, then place cooked patties on top.
  5. Add mozzarella cheese and toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, or onions. Cover skillet briefly to melt cheese if needed.
  6. Top with fresh basil or parsley, place top bun, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Avoid overcooking patties for juicier results.
  • Add red pepper flakes or oregano for extra flavor.
  • Store in the fridge up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5–10 minutes or in a skillet for best texture.
